SiteNorth legal
Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-10-10-draft.1 · Updated 10 October 2026 · Owner: YG Studio
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between YG Studio, the operator of SiteNorth, and the person or organisation using the service. Before launch, the final document must state the operator's complete legal name, trading details and service address.
Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@sitenorth.app.
2. What SiteNorth provides
SiteNorth helps authorised project teams coordinate work, including Projects, Sites, Tasks, Chat, Documents, Photos, Records, team access and related activity. Features available to a user depend on their Workspace, Project and Site access.
SiteNorth supports project administration and evidence handling. It does not replace professional construction, health and safety, legal, engineering or compliance advice, and it does not remove a user's responsibility to follow the rules that apply to their work.
3. Accounts and authority
- Account information must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Sign-in details and authenticator access must not be shared.
- A person who creates or manages a Workspace or Project confirms that they are authorised to act for that organisation or team.
- Workspace and Project managers are responsible for assigning appropriate access and removing it when it is no longer required.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use SiteNorth to:
- break the law, another person's rights or a contractual duty;
- upload malicious, unsafe, misleading or unlawfully obtained material;
- try to access another account, Workspace, Project, Site or private conversation without permission;
- interfere with the service, evade security controls or test security without written permission; or
- use SiteNorth to harass, threaten or discriminate against another person.
5. Project content and records
You and your organisation retain ownership of content you are entitled to upload. You give SiteNorth permission to store, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service under the applicable Privacy Notice and data-processing arrangements.
Do not upload personal data, confidential information or third-party material unless your organisation has a lawful reason and the right to do so. Formal records, moderation history, legal holds and other protected evidence may remain available for an approved retention period after an account or Project is closed.
6. Offline work and synchronisation
When an authorised user opens a Project or views its Site Info, SiteNorth may save essential information on that device for short periods without signal. Saved information may be out of date and queued changes may not reach other users until a connection returns. SiteNorth will show the offline state, last successful sync and any work still waiting to be sent. Users must check that urgent or safety-critical changes have synchronised before relying on them elsewhere.
7. Availability, changes and support
SiteNorth aims to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, connectivity, third-party services and events outside reasonable control may affect access. Material service or terms changes will be communicated through an appropriate in-app notice or approved contact method.
8. Suspension and ending access
Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary to protect users, project information, the service or legal obligations. Account closure must respect ownership transfer, project evidence, legal holds and approved retention rules. Where available, the app will explain the action, its effect and the next step.
9. Responsibility and liability
The final reviewed terms must define the service commitment, exclusions and liability limits in a way that is fair, enforceable and appropriate for SiteNorth's customers. Nothing in the final terms may exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Governing law and changes to these terms
The final reviewed document must confirm the governing law, courts and contracting entity. Each published version will show its version and effective date. If a material change requires renewed acceptance, SiteNorth will ask before continued use.
Read the related Privacy Notice.
